Soil Resource Assessment and Interpretations for Minnesota Landscapes
Principal Investigator: Jay Bell
Project Description:
Because human activities are superimposed over this mosaic of soil characteristics and processes, it is important to understand the interaction between soils and our activities. This project focuses on several areas related to providing information and seeking to understand the interactions between human activities and the soil resource. The first area focuses on mapping and understanding soil-geomorphic processes in the recently glaciated landscapes of Minnesota. The second area deals with the dissemination of soils information to decision makers and third, understanding the impact of human activity on the soil resource.
