Project Description: 

Develop wild rice (Zizania spp.) cultivars which have enhanced shattering resistance, disease and pest resistance, yield, earliness, and seed length. Estimate and preserve the genetic diversity of wild rice germplasm. Investigate wild rice genetics oriented toward application to breeding research.
